Legal advisor and writer (Open Energy)

Contract: Fixed – Mid-May to end of July 2021
Location: Flexible (working from home until further notice)
Hours: Up to 3 days a month
Rate: Contractor rate – circa £500 – £600 / day

Role: Help us draft data licenses and other associated contractual documents to support the launch of Open Energy.

Commercial development manager (SERI)

Contract: Fixed – May to end of July 2021 – with continuation subject to funding

Role: Help us ensure successful continuation funding for SERI through converting existing partners to paying members and adding new commercial partners.

ABOUT THE ROLE & HOW TO APPLY

Context: SERI was set up as a response to an 18-month consultation with industry, policy and individual practitioners, during which we spoke with 230+ experts. The mission of the project is to create a clear, impactful and detailed governance framework that enables government, businesses, consumers and 3rd party developers to understand further the potential of sector-wide data sharing in insurance, the next steps to implementation in the UK and empower decision makers to mandate, measure and act upon the data flows that enable net-zero.

Technical Writer (Open Energy)

Contract: Fixed Term – mid-March to end of July 2021
Location: Flexible (working from home until further notice)
Hours: Part time – up to three days a week
Rate: up to £300 / day rate

Role: Help us research and communicate technical documentation for Open Energy.

Administrator (Open Energy)

Contract: Employed Fixed Term – Start of March to end of July 2021
Location: Flexible (working from home until further notice)
Hours: Full time – four days a week (we don’t work on a Friday!)
Rate: up to £25k, pro-rata

Systems and standards lead (SERI) — CLOSED

Contract: Fixed Term – 7 months (1 September 2020 to 31 March 2021)
Location: Flexible (working from home until further notice)
Hours: Flexible – minimum 2.5 days per week (if you can do more then we’d be interested to hear more)
Pay: £3k per month
Context: Help us develop climate-ready insurance products and investigate what systems, standards and regulatory changes are needed for a Standard for Environment, Risk and Insurance (SERI). This role will lead the Systems and Standards Working Group to help identify and develop the systems and standards required.


Policy and regulation lead (SERI) — CLOSED

Contract: Fixed Term – 10 months (June 2020 to 31 March 2021)
Location: Flexible (working from home until further notice)
Hours: Flexible – up to 2.5 days per week (contracted role)
Pay: £2.5k per month
Context: This role will be to chair the Policy and Regulations Working Group to help develop and build the policy and regulation response for a Standard for Environment, Risk and Insurance (SERI).

Constellation Manager — CLOSED

Contract: Fixed Term – to 31 March 2021
Location: Flexible (working from home until further notice)
Hours: Flexible – up to three days a week
Pay: Up to £2k per month
Context: Our Constellation Manager will help support our Standard for Environment, Risk and Insurance (SERI) programme—to develop the first climate-ready insurance product and lay the foundations for exponential impact. This will involve building, informing and engaging across the Icebreaker One community of practice and SERI partners.

Researcher — CLOSED

Contract: Fixed Term – to 31 March 2021
Location: Flexible (working from home until further notice)
Hours: Flexible – three days a week
Pay: £35k FTE per annum (pro-rata according to actual days worked)

Context: Support the Product Innovation group to help understand the existing and potential market opportunities that will inform a Standard for Environment, Risk and Insurance (SERI).
